The upcoming FECAVA Euro-Congress in Munich (6-9 November) has a packed scientific programme with up to 8 parallel streams, providing updates in a wide range of disciplines by leading speakers.

Apart from the FECAVA symposium, there are two FECAVA lectures: Gastric protective drugs – which to use and why, by Reto Neiger (Thursday afternoon) and Treatment of perineal hernias – which staged approach is the best?, by Dick White (Sunday morning).

Satellite seminars will be held on Thursday – as will the opening ceremony, featuring Sebastian Haag, veterinarian and extreme athlete.

And don’t forget to pack - or rent – your dirndl or lederhosen (traditional Bavarian costume) for the conference party in the Löwenbräukeller on Friday night: “a night full of Bavarian festivities, delicious hearty food and Munich’s legendary beer”!

It’s not too late…

 

You should hurry - but it’s not too late to apply for the Laboklin Travel Bursary, which will allow visit a colleague elsewhere in Europe – and to set up an exchange.

Applications (for two exchange parties) will need to be made in English by 15 October and the travels should take place within twelve months.

The winning pair of the Bursary will be announced at the Euro Congress in Munich where they will receive the first part of the bursary (€1000). ...
